Oh wow, for the prison to be fully infected and then having to destroy it, whoa. I'm reveling in all the mystery and suspense that's going on, like how powerful Fai really is, and what's up with his past and the demon. Course he's hiding something (but I like to think this time it's to protect Kurogane, since he will help him out a lot here, nice!)

I'm so happy to know that Kurogane's father never really betrayed him, that it was a grave error when he tried to save his son - well I'm hoping that this new dream was really what happened in the past. It was so sad to see the fall of his father though. Kuro-mama was so brave though. ;_______;

Like Clover said, I adore your imagery, how the world constructions feel so natural and easy to slip into for us readers. And the pacing is just right too. I look forward to the rest.
