Who's Ready for Check-In Two?

Is it another Ice Age? No that's just me standing in the freezer to stay chill.

So while we're trying to beat that heat, how's those stories coming along? For this check-in, please include any help you think you might need or want (beta, research, cheers of encouragement, Pinch-Hitter, an actual iceberg to come by and keep you cool, et cetera) and anything else you want really. Just so we know you're still in it to win it ~

I am a veeery slow writer, so I have about 2,5k words and the first part of the story finished (which is the shortest one, really haha). But I feel I really needed that time to construct the storyline in a decent way, so that I knew how each part was going to connect without leaving gaps. Now it's just a matter of continuing to write (: (Also, evig_sang has kindly offered to beta read the story, and I've sent what I have to them ♥)

Still need to plan and start *sweat*

..... I'm gonna beat this thing into submission and make it my bitch if it kills me. just like every year.

i'm at about 5k

Have several parts written. Just have to tie them together, work on a climax and ending.

I'd say we're about 30~% through, so I'm not doing too badly! I don't think it's ready for beta-reading yet, but we're done with the "intro" to the story, and we're moving into the "buildup" part. I have a full outline done, so that definitely helped this time around - just gotta write the damn thing!

I started strong, then hit a wall. Writing sucks. I’m throwing a few ideas around and might even rewrite the whole thing? Although it would have the same basic plot so it wouldn’t take as long to write since I can usually write pretty fast. I just need to sit and write for about 3 hours

I'm doing okay so far, got about 5K written and a lot of plotting and replotting, but things are becoming clear, and I should be able to get something I'm satisfied with in good time. I have a busy week and a camping trip this weekend, PLUS I'm like, moving right now too... but at least I can write at work yay!

So remember last time how I said I picked a outline? Yeah... I'm struggling this year to find one I want to stick with. I could use someone to spring board some ideas off of if possible. If not, I will still bust this story out on time!

I am not progressing very quickly because of RL busyness, but I should still be able to finish.

I'm cool. Right on schedule.

SOOOOOOOOO glad that I rushed to finish a first draft! Work's picked up and I'm still stuck on my second draft. But I should have some time on the weekends!!!

Struggling a little but I've written 10k so far so I'm hopefully on track pretty well at least ( hate most of the words I've written, but at least I got them down and that's the important thing...anyway I always hate my Olymfics at this point in the writing anyway XD).

7k words and writing as we speak!! I think I'm about halwfay done at this point, but I have more time to write now than I did the past few weeks so I should be progressing even faster

I'm about half done with the writing and have the rest outlined, just gotta fill in the rest of the scenes. Should be on track to finish on time! :)

It’s coming! We’re in the final stretch, I think.
